Oyeth Consult Limited – Our client, an Insurance company, is recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title: Head, Human Resources
Location: Lagos Island, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

The main function of this role is to implement the business HR strategy, overseeing the effective management and co-ordination of the HR function to meet the needs of the entire business, including but not limited to; recruitment and selection, learning and development, talent management, succession planning, employee well-being, discipline, grievance, and any other HR related issues.

The Role

Developing and implementing HR initiatives in line with company objectives
Lead, develop and motivate the HR team to ensure the delivery of a highly effective HR service
Liaising directly with leadership team and being accountable for the performance of the HR function, as well as providing strategic counsel on all people matters
Contributing to long-term goals around business and people development, including taking oversight of the company’s culture
Provide company-wide information by interpreting people data and analyzing figures on staff turnover, cost per hire, workforce trends etc.
Maintain, establish, and implement appropriate HR policies, systems, and processes to support the business
Ensuring a fair, progressive, and competitive approach to benefits and reward
Build on a culture that rewards excellence and doesn’t tolerate mediocrity
Provide support to the L&D team in designing and implementing employee, manager and leadership training programs, ensuring employees are getting the opportunities to progress their careers and understand clearly what’s required to grow

The Person

Minimum of HND / BSc with a minimum of 10 years HR experience
Relevant professional certificate e.g., CIPM, CIPD, SMRM etc. is mandatory
A seasoned HR Generalist with previous experience of leading HR function for at least 5 years
Proven track record of translating organizational strategy into pragmatic HR solutions
Experience developing strong, proactive, and collaborative working relationships
Sound knowledge, understanding and practical application of employment law and HR best practices.

Skills Required:

Able to think strategically, problem solve and demonstrate operational skills
Good communication, interpersonal and proven organizational skills
Able to influence and build relationships with senior management
Proactive and self-driven with an excellent work ethic
Able to deal with challenging situations calmly and effectively.

What's on Offer

Salary Range: N18,000,000 – N20,000,000 per annum
