We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title: Fleet Associate
Locations: Benin City – Edo, Ibadan – Oyo, Port Harcourt – Rivers & Lagos
Job Role

The Fleet Associate is responsible for planning, directing, managing, coordinating, and supervising the programs for acquisition, assignment, utilization, maintenance, repair, replacement, tracking, and disposal of fleet vehicles.
The fleet associate also serves as the primary contact concerning the vehicle fleet and operations and manages 3PL relations.

Responsibilities

Onboarding new and keeping track of every transporter
Keep track of every fleet at all times
3PL relations and onboarding
Directing, managing, coordinating, and supervising movement from the market to customers' sites.
Maintenance of fleet, purchasing, deciding whether to lease or buy, assisting to recruit drivers
Decision making on the aspect of acquisition approach (To lease or to buy)
Provide assistance to recruit new drivers, train and develop them
Develops and administers vehicle/equipment asset management processes from procurement to disposition.
Create vehicle purchase specifications and purchase vehicles for all University departments.
Implement cost-effectiveness measures and manage budgets
Provide strategies to ensure logistics effectiveness
Create and establish fleet policies and procedures
Analyzing data to increase business operational efficiency.
Utilizing GPS systems to monitor drivers and track vehicles in case of theft.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics or Accounting or any other related course
3 – 5 years of relevant experience
Experience as an auto mechanic
Experience in creating and establishing fleet policies and procedures
Experience in price, spec, and purchase or lease vehicles.
Understand and track total cost of ownership (TCO)
Budgetary experience negotiating skills
Outstanding organizational skills.
Analytical mindset and good problem-solving skills.
Quantitative ability.
Attention to detail.
Exceptional interpersonal skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication.
