Job Title: Business Operations and Expansion Officer
About the Role
Business Operations at Paystack is a highly cross-functional role, which supports product and go to market leadership to drive mission critical projects, incubate new countries and teams, deliver analysis and insights, and execute on key strategic initiatives.
Your role might include planning, building, and launching new markets or products, or working on high-growth opportunities.

This role will be based in Nigeria, South Africa, or Kenya.

What you'll be doing
Perform analyses and research to drive new country or pan-African product and growth strategy
Work with Product and Commercial leads on planning and launching new markets and/or products
Explore and strike new partnership opportunities for Paystack to scale across Africa
Design and implement cross-functional systems and processes that Paystack needs to grow at scale
Incubate and help run new country and/or product teams
Partner with other teams to help them execute on important strategic initiatives or drive operational scale and efficiency
What it takes to succeed at this role
5+ years of experience in consulting, investment banking, or comparable role in high growth tech companies on the African continent
Strong problem solving skills; enjoy digging deep into the data, thinking from first principles, and delivering the best results
A proven track record building relationships and doing business with external partners and customers
A process-oriented mindset and ability to lead people to get things done
Experience in a highly strategic, analytical and operational role in fast-paced environments
Experience in product or project management, taking initiatives from conception to launch
Clear and empathetic communication, both written and verbal
Mission-oriented and motivated by the opportunity to improve the lives of our users
Willingness to travel to our existing Paystack markets and across Africa (up to 50% travel).
Nice to haves:
CS background or affinities
Experience with SQL
Experience in the payments space
French and/or Arabic language proficiency.
